Does anyone remember the name of the boy that would get up in front of everybody in the All-Purpose Room and sing The Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy song??

His name was Kenneth Wrenn.

I also remember Nancy William's singing "Tallahatchie Bridge"!

That's right, Terresa!!  Did you remember Kenneth's name or did you have to do some research?  Do you happen to remember what grade(s)?

It's interesting to me that I remember Kenneth singing, but I don't remember Nancy singing at all.  Memory is a funny thing;  or, maybe, it's just old memory that's funny!

No, I remembered it, because it made such an impression on me. I enjoyed when we'd go into the all-purpose room and sang, or individuals sang. It had to be 5th, 6th, or 7th grade, because I wasn't here in earlier grades.

Well, you get a gold star for remembering!

So, you moved to Lyons when we were in the 5th grade? I know you told me that once in another forum I had on here, but I deleted that forum because only a couple of us had posted anything.

I know Kenneth sang more than once. Do you remember anyone else performing?
